Malang Airport to be Closed !

Mount Bromo Eruption at Friday

A Sacred Mountain

Mount Bromo (from Sanskrit / old Javanese : Brahma, one of the main Hindus gods), the volcano is still active and most famous as a tourist attraction, Mount Bromo become attractive because of its status as the volcano still active.

Tengger Tribe residing in the vicinity of national park is a tribal Hindu. According to legend, the origin of these tribes from the Kingdom of Majapahit into exile. Uniquely see the people around look no sense of  fear despite knowing it is dangerous Bromo., including many tourists who visit the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park at the ceremony of Kasodo.
Kasodo ceremony held every year (December /  January) on the full moon. The Crater and The Sea of Sand

Finished watching the sunrises, you can go back down the montain Pananjakan and to Mount Bromo. Sunlight can make you see the scenery around. Apparently you go throught this sea of sand which covers making the sand fly and can be difficult for you to breath.
To reach the foot of Mount Bromo, you can not use the vehicle. Instead, you must rent a horse at the price around 70.000,- rupiahs or if you feel strong, you can choose to walk. But, it should be noted that walking is not easy, because of the scorching sun, a long distance, the flying dust can make the journey harder.
Now, you have to climb the ladder whose numbers rach 250 stairs to see the crater of Mount Bromo. Arriving at the top of Bromo is 2392 meters high above sea level, you can see the crater of Mount Bromo that emit smoke. Ypu can also cast your gaze down, and saw the sea of sand with a temple in the middle. It is really incredibly rare and unusual that we can enjoy.

To view them, you have to climb Mount Pananjakan which is the highest montain in the region. Terreain that must be travered to get to Mount Pananjakan is tough terrain. To reach the foot of Montain Pananjakan, you have to go through desert, like area that can make you get lost. When the need to climb Mount Pananjakan, narrow roads and lots of sharp turns would require a high driving skills. For that, many visitors who choose to rent a car hardtop / 4wd (a type of jeep) driven by the community. Sorrounding communities come from the Tengger tribe was friendly with visitors.
Up above, there are many shops serving coffe or tea and a fire to warm  themselves while waiting to rising the sun. There are also stores that rent warm clothing. Rare and endangered species contained in the Park included civet (Paradofelis Marmorata), deer (Cervus Timorensis) longtailed macaques (Macaca Fascicularis), deer (Muntiacus Muntjak), red jungle fowl (Gallus Gallus), leopard (Panthera Pardus), ajag (Cuon Alpinus), and various species of birds such as kestrel bird (Accipiter Virgatus), hornbolls (Buceros Rhinoceros silvestris), crested sepernt eagle (Spilornis Cheela Crested), black srigunting (Dicrurus Macrocercus), eagle bondol (Haliastur indus), and grous that live in Ranu Pani, Ranu Regulo, and Ranu Kumbolo.
Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is the only conservation area in Indonesia, which has unique form of sand sea coverng an area of 5250 hectares, is located at an altitude of +_ 2100 meters obove sea level.
